TYP 2023-2024

Last year our Transition Year student fully embraced all the activities and opportunities on offer, mindful of the responsibilities they have as Young adults in our CBC Community as role models and future student leaders. From their commitment to rehearsals for 'The Wedding Singer' to organising food hampers for the local St Vincent de Paul branch, they were always ready and willing to assist in any way. One of the year's highlights was the trip to Italy and as ambassadors for their school, they enjoyed the cultural experience this offered them.

GAA Future Leaders remains a very positive and important aspect of the year and the group organised blitzes for the local Primary Schools as well as assisting Co.Monaghan GAA in Cloghan at regular intervals. As Castleblayney College continues to strive for excellence in its 'Active Schools' participation, the Transition Year Students frequently stepped up to lead their peers and a significant number have chosen Leaving Certificate PE as they commence their Senior Cycle in earnest.
