TY Drama 2024

With a production of 'High School Musical, Jr'  the CBC Transition Year drama programme engaged our students in creative and enriching activities, with the performance in Iontas Theatre as one of the highlights of their school year. 

Our drama  programme is not just about acting; it’s a comprehensive platform where students learn about stage production, dance, art, creativity, building sets and working together as a community to produce a piece of creative endeavour. We believe these skills not only boost their confidence but also enhance their teamwork and problem-solving abilities. It's a wonderful opportunity for them to explore their talents and maybe even discover new ones! Plus, it’s always a joy to see how much fun they have along the way.

We thank all families who supported, offered prizes, assisted with costumes and learning lines, as well as attending the performances. It's a fantastic way to support our students and get a glimpse into the creative atmosphere we foster here at Castleblayney College. Local businesses continue to be incredibly supportive and we thank them for the prizes offered for the raffle, and in particular we thank the staff and management of Iontas Theatre.
