Music & Drama

The school has a long tradition of drama and musical productions. The emphasis is always on showcasing talent and maximum participation by students. Many variety shows staged over the years, by students and staff, have rightly earned the school an enviable reputation. 

In the past pantomime has proved popular with Ali Baba, Cinderella, Snow White, Dick Whittington and Aladdin being produced. Straight theatre productions such as The Field and Death of Cuchulainn have also featured. Musicals such as 'Footloose' and 'South Pacific' have been performed, as well as the incredibly popular 'Grease' just prior to the Covid lockdown of 2020. Last years TY production of 'The Wedding Singer' reintroduced the School Musical and plans are afoot with this years TY group for a December performance in Iontas Theatre.
